Just a few days ago I previewed a few fun.fun.fun images from Pug’s 10th birthday party! It really was quite a hoot!!
I was on for bringing a camera and homemade dog treats and while I didn’t care for them, the pups seemed to love them!
They were basically made of flour, oats and cornmeal with molasses and honey to flavor. Crafty AND healthy!
Once at the party I was amazed {but not the least bit surprised} to see the fun things that Emily had whipped up for Pug!
All pups that attended had a delicious array of snack choices and I’m pretty sure they filled up on quite a bit over the course of the afternoon! Besides fabulous treats, Emily also provided a wonderful, WONDERFUL hat for Pug just for the occasion.
And I’m pretty positive he felt awfully suave while wearing it…
I was pretty obsessed with Pug in his hat. Oh.my.goodness! Pretty sure the girls are each getting one of these on their Gotcha Day anniversary in May. Can’t you see it now? The 2 kitties calmly sitting there on the couch with these cones attached to their heads? I expect it to be similar to this experience from the winter 🙂
Anywhoooo … Besides Pug and his hat I also got to take pictures of the lovely, lovely guests who were in attendance. There was his little sister, Gweneth Margaret…
… so calm and collected? ha! just in these photos … you should see the outtakes! she must have gotten into the frosting before everyone got there!! Lil Gwen was wild and crazy all day but she was a hoot to play with:)
And then there was beautifully dressed Mia!! She was dressed for the occasion with a new hairdo AND her pearls! LOVE it!! If I had a dog, I think she would have to have pearls to wear on special occasions! She was a little shy at first but seemed to warm up to me AND was incredibly sweet the entire time! She also lucked out when the other pups were not cooperating quite as nicely because her mama filled her belly with treats! Mia, I hope you thanked Gwen for being so wild for those photos 🙂
… she is such a beauty!
After the individual pup photos, the people took some time to eat, drink and be merry. And then we reconvened again for a group photo of the party attendees. It proved to be harder than I would have ever imagined 🙂 Pug and Mia were doing very well … It’s the photo hog in the below image that was a little more finicky 🙂 After several attempts and several snacks, we were able to get them all in one decent photo 🙂
And after all the guests had left, Pug, Emily and I went out to her yard to do a few photos with his birthday present from Mia – a squeaky watermelon. I’m still amazed Mia knew exactly what Pug (and Gwen) wanted! 🙂
I learned 2 amazing things about Pug out there … First, he asks for treats. Second, he can balance them on his nose.
… ok phew … Just looking at these photos makes me feel like I ate tons of cupcakes and snacks 🙂 🙂 It was a really great party and I hope there are many more to come!!! Happy 10th Birthday Pug!!
And I really.really hope that someone sees this post, doesn’t think it’s crazy and instead does the very same thing for one of their animals. I think it’s such a great idea but I’m also just a few cats away from being the cat lady, soooo take that with a grain of salt, folks 🙂 🙂 If you do want to have a pet-party, I hope you will give me jingle because I’d love.love.love to be there with camera in tow.
My fave has to be of the three dogs… Edward looks totally unimpressed with Mia and Gwen! 🙂 Sweet photos!
