Hi there!
My name is Jess and I take photos of the adventurous people who come to explore Yellowstone.
I not only take classic portraits but also highlight candid, genuine moments on your private wildlife tour.
Ultimately, I provide souvenirs you can cherish for always.
What do you see in images?
When you look at an image of your toddler/husband/mom/best friend involved in making cookies/backpacking through the mountains/waving from the porch/cheersing to life, are you transported back to that moment? To those feelings? To the joy and laughter or the pain and crying?
I know I am! That is the incredible beauty of images. They allow for time travel.

The easiest way to make this happen is to book your tour with one of the companies we have collaborated with and then reach out to me.

What is included with this package of photos?
Your session, booked in tandem with a wildlife tour, is packed with goodies.
Not only will I ride along on your private tour to capture the candid moments as you get to experience the wonders that Yellowstone can offer, but we will work together on a short yet intimate session to capture a variety of classic portraits.
We will work together to find the best time for the classic portraits based off of the rest of your Yellowstone plans.
Once it is all said and done, you will be sent an online gallery of images where you can download everything and share to your heart’s content. That would definitely be the time to let grandma know how much fun you had!
What do we do during the session?
The main focus of these photos is to capture your exciting moments on the wildlife tour. Of course we can chat and get to know each other (that’s one of my favorite parts of this job!!) but I’m also trying to blend into the background of your adventure. Therefore, your guide is running the show and I’m just there.
When it comes time to switch gears and do our own more private session, I’ll be talking more and giving more direction. It’s still a rather casual affair - in fact, we should probably include ice cream - but we’ll be one on one with each other doing something fun.
Does it matter what I wear?
The biggest piece of advice that I give regarding clothing choices is to make sure you are comfortable. When you feel comfortable, you look comfortable in photos.
For your wildlife tour, make sure you follow their recommendations regarding layers and appropriate footwear.
For our photos, I recommend no large logos or text (unless you really love Nike products) and again, what you feel most comfortable in. I often take you on gravel roads or a trail that is uneven, so footwear that allows you to traverse that would be a good choice.

You know that amazing photo from the beach of your kids and husband (when you were taking the photo) or that great shot of your elderly parents checking something off their bucket list (when you were taking the photo)? Wouldn’t it be great to have a professional version of those with YOU in it?

Close your eyes and think about your favorite photos. I bet they make you smile and at least somewhat transport you back to the time they were taken. Wouldn’t you want documentation of this amazing adventure you are on? So you can remember it through thick and thin, in good times and bad to bring a smile to your face perhaps when you need it most.
