iowa summer
not much to say … just back from our weekend in the country at our ‘vacation home’ 🙂 it was lovely! happy monday to all!
off and away!
… yet again.
Summer really makes me wonder why I even pay rent. Apparently it’s just a place to store a bunch of crap and a play place for my cats. My dad’s house could do that! 🙂
But really, I do love traveling. A lot! And this weekend we are off to I-OWA for another fun filled weekend of friends, family, wine, food and cabin. Oh yeah, and kitties. Can’t forget the kitties.
So tonight I’m here getting packed AND getting prepped for next weekend. What is next weekend, you ask? Why it’s the Dog Days Westonka event, of course. It’s going to be a hoot. It’s going to be a fun-filled {free!} festival in Mound, MN all focused on pets. Perfecto – can’t wait! It’s from 8 am – 2 pm and it’s free but they do ask for a pet-food donation which is a fantastic idea to help support local shelters! There will be all kinds of fun stuff including a pet and people look alike contest. I think I’m looking forward to that the most! If you make it out, please stop by my {cute!} booth and say “hi!” I’ll be there with some of my favorite printed goodies and I’m hosting a drawing to win a free session. Reason enough to make the drive, huh?? 🙂

august 1st
… that’s just crazy! I was just saying the other day that I’ve felt a lot less busy this summer than I did last summer but I still can’t believe that it’s August. Wow. In a month I’ll be talking about Labor day!! Not cool man, not cool. But actually, along those lines, I am totally happy taking some of this cool weather and sticking it in my pocket for later. I can’t believe how hot it’s been!
I guess time flying fast and complaining about the weather is nothing new, so how about instead some photos? I’ve been running around like crazy again the last week. Milwaukee on Tues, Chicago on Weds, Indianapolis on Thurs, Mpls on Fri but then I packed back up and went camping for the weekend in the Southern part of the state. It was probably the most awfully hot weather that I’ve been camping in a LONG time. Yowsa.
And coming up? More kitties this weekend, dogs the next weekend and a few lucky winners of the Twin Cities Smile For a Cure to be scheduled in the coming weeks. So excited to announce the winners later this evening!

I must say, this was the first shoot where I climbed in the lake with the dog but I’m thinking it’s not the last. It was so awesome to hang out with Lilah while she wandered around searching for sticks 🙂 Such a sweetie!
baby kittens … again
can’t get enough of these little ones! and I’m pretty positive in a few weeks I will get to see them again. shhh don’t tell the girls.
oh these little guys are so precious. it’s amazing how little they can be! ears the size of finger nails. eyes that are barely open, nose is oober pink. legs are quite wobbly. overall, just tiny, tiny kittens.
bah! can’t wait for August’s photo shoot 🙂
