I have never been shy when talking about my girls. I give them pillows to sleep on in front of fires and rarely get angry when they wake me for breakfast at 6am. I take lots of photos of them and often toot my own horn as a pretty awesome kitty mama. Recently I even wrestled a chicken breast out of Digi’s mouth – seriously… that happened – yet in the end, I gave it to them cut up in pieces for their dinners. Now find me a better kitty mama than that.
Recently I’ve been spending a lot of time in Iowa and since May I’ve been fortunate enough to watch these little peanuts grow and grow …
I might even have more photos of these little ones than my own! Shh – don’t tell the girls that.
So since I’m back logged on posting the oodles of animal photos I have in my ‘bank’ I’m pulling out a few of my favorites from when I was there in August. They were still awfully little kitties and quite skeptical of me. I think that was more to do with the crowds of people celebrating anything and everything nearby and not related to me personally. That makes me feel better :)But regardless of why they were skittish, I think I still got some keepers…
… I call those “jungle kitty”
so as I hear my own girls pitter patter and clomp clomp around the apartment I think about how peaceful these kitties are. They are never all that crazy and also probably never rustle window blinds or claw on dressers just because they know it will wake you up and usually that means breakfast follows soon after. Nah, these kitties are calm and collected.
those eyes. they just scream “take me home and cuddle me!!” … I’d love to my friend, I really would.
Love, love the kitty pics!
